(I wrote this entry a while back and now decided to share.) Yesterday was a marvelous day. I met some wonderful people from out of town and spent the day with my daughter. In the course of the day GOD’s purpose for our lives was discussed. Since I have been back home as I have read GOD’s word and some other works I am compelled to write today about GOD’s purpose.
Everyone wants to know there purpose on this earth. We spend hours, days, even years trying to find out our purpose. If we look in the Book of Mathew in the Bible it states very simply our purpose is to: “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Mathew 22:37-39. Will we choose to live our purpose? If we live our purpose as Mathew 22:37-39 states then we will be fulfilling the greatest commandments of GOD. I have a tendency to make things more complicated instead of keeping it simple. Today I choose to keep it simple and love GOD with all I have and love my neighbor. I do not have to be a preacher, celebrity, great singer, all I have to do is love GOD and love my neighbor exactly in the environment GOD has placed me.
